George and Sara are the team behind OurWild. They are two photographer biologists based in the Northeast of Iceland.

With over 20 years of combined experience in scientific research and wildlife guiding, we’ve dedicated our lives to exploring and protecting the planet’s most remote and breathtaking regions. From the icy expanses of Antarctica and the Arctic to the volcanic landscapes of Iceland, the Azores, the Canary Islands, and the rugged coasts of Scotland, our work has taken us to the wild edges of the Earth.

We've led research field teams, worked as professional wildlife guides, and spent nearly every waking hour immersed in nature.

Our deep expertise in animal behavior and conservation allows us to create unforgettable wildlife experiences for our guests—always prioritizing respectful and responsible interactions. Whether it’s capturing the perfect photograph of a breaching whale, a penguin waddling through the snow or watching a polar bear roam the sea ice, we’re here to help you witness the wonder of the natural world.

Now based in the tiny village of Raufarhöfn in the far northeast of Iceland, we call one of the country’s most remote and untouched corners home. Currently, we spend most of the year aboard expedition ships in the Arctic and Antarctic, leading journeys through some of the wildest, most beautiful places on Earth. We are certified polar tourism guides, wilderness first responders, experienced rib boat captains, and glacial guides with extensive wildlife knowledge, ensuring both safety and awe-inspiring encounters on every adventure.

We’re passionate about sharing the magic of these places—and we can't wait to show you the incredible beauty our world has to offer.
